MoveKarlo.com – Terms and Conditions

1. Company Overview

MoveKarlo is a registered brand of Arabh Ventures Private Limited, engaged in professional relocation and logistics services across India. We operate with trained in-house teams. Where internal resources are limited, verified partner vendors may be deployed who follow MoveKarlo's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality controls, and safety standards. All services—whether executed by in-house teams or verified partners—remain under MoveKarlo's direct supervision and quality assurance.

2. Scope of Services

  • Household shifting (intercity and intracity)
  • Office and commercial relocation
  • Employee and corporate transfers
  • Exhibition and event logistics
  • Vehicle transport (car and bike)
  • Warehousing and storage
  • Packing, unpacking, loading, and unloading

3. Service Acceptance

Use of MoveKarlo's website, app, or booking channels implies acceptance of these Terms. Each booking forms a separate service contract governed by this document.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customer must own or have legal right to transport goods.
  • All consignment details must be accurate.
  • Fragile or valuable goods must be disclosed before booking.
  • Illegal or restricted items must not be booked.
  • Customer indemnifies MoveKarlo and Arabh Ventures Pvt. Ltd. from losses caused by misdeclaration or legal violations.

5. Packing Standards

Customers who self-pack must use proper materials and seal boxes securely. Poor, leaking, or unfit packaging voids liability for damage. Fragile goods should be wrapped in bubble wrap with cushioning.

6. Insurance & Liability

Insurance may be arranged via licensed insurers on request. If no insurance is taken, MoveKarlo's liability is limited to Rs 1,500 per item for intercity moves or Rs 5,000 per item for intracity moves, whichever is lower or equal to actual damage. Minor scratches or cosmetic wear are excluded. Claims must be filed in writing with photos within 24 hours of delivery.

7. Booking, Payment & Delivery

  • Booking confirmed only after part payment.
  • Full payment required before delivery.
  • MoveKarlo may hold goods until payment is completed.
  • No partial deliveries before payment clearance.
  • Storage or demurrage costs apply for delayed payments.

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • If an advance is paid, it is refundable before dispatch.
  • If no advance is paid, no cancellation fee applies.
  • Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days after verification.

9. Delivery & Delays

Estimated pickup and delivery times are indicative. MoveKarlo is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, strikes, mechanical issues, or other force majeure conditions.

10. Restricted & Banned Items

Customers must not hand over or transport prohibited goods. MoveKarlo reserves the right to refuse or report such consignments.

  • Pornographic materials, explosives, ammunition, weapons
  • Flammable items, fuels, paints, chemicals, hazardous waste
  • Animals, pets, human or biological materials
  • Jewellery, currency, precious stones, antiques, or artworks without disclosure
  • Illegal or contraband goods under Indian law
  • Alcohol, tobacco, narcotics, or controlled substances

11. Corporate Client Terms

Corporate moves require a valid Purchase Order (PO) before service commencement. Payment is due within 30 days from the invoice date. No Service Level Agreement (SLA) clauses are accepted unless pre-approved.

12. Packing Material Return Policy

  • Packing materials remain the property of MoveKarlo unless purchased.
  • Reusable materials (cartons, crates) must be returned within 48 hours.
  • Charges apply for non-return: Rs 70 per carton, Rs 600 per plastic crate.
  • Damaged or unusable materials will be billed at replacement cost.
  • MoveKarlo encourages recycling and sustainable handling of materials.

13. Add-On Services Policy

  • Optional services include unpacking, temporary storage, dismantling/assembly, handyman, cleaning, and post-move waste removal.
  • These services are subject to technician availability and location.
  • Charges apply separately and must be pre-approved before execution.
  • MoveKarlo is not liable for delays or damage arising from third-party add-on service providers.

14. GST & Taxation

Invoices are issued under Arabh Ventures Pvt. Ltd. GST registration. All applicable taxes, duties, and surcharges are additional.

15. Data & Communication Consent

Customers consent to receive booking, tracking, and service-related updates via SMS, WhatsApp, or email. Data is confidential and used only for operations.

16. Lien on Goods

MoveKarlo retains a legal lien on goods in custody until all dues are paid. If unpaid, goods may be held, stored, or sold to recover pending amounts.

17. Limitation of Liability

Maximum liability equals the lower of declared item value, Rs 1,500 (intercity), Rs 5,000 (intracity), or total freight paid. No compensation for indirect, consequential, or emotional losses.

18. No Liability Clause

  • MoveKarlo and its verified partners are not liable for indirect or consequential loss including loss of income, goodwill, or delays beyond control.
  • No responsibility for damage from poor packing, restricted access, or unreported fragile items.
  • Maximum claim limited to Rs 1,500 per item (intercity) or Rs 5,000 (intracity).
  • No personal liability for MoveKarlo staff or management.

19. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction

All disputes are subject to Mumbai jurisdiction. Parties shall seek amicable resolution or mediation before legal proceedings. Governed by Indian law.

20. Modification of Terms

MoveKarlo may update these Terms without prior notice. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
